Judge Lonnie Cox is
known for the prevailing effective justice system in Galveston County. Lonnie Cox is proudly married to Alison
and father to six children, grandfather to eleven children, and
great-grandfather to seven children. Cox is personally and professionally known
for his dedication and hard-work towards the Galveston community.
Coming on to Galveston JudgeCox professional background, he has
achieved many accolades and held many esteemed positions too. Cox is the Judge
of the 56th District Court in Galveston County and facilitates the
court trials and proceedings in a fair and crystal clear manner. He is been
elected to this position in the year 2004 and is efficiently taking care of the
safety of the citizens of the Galveston area. Before holding the position of Judge Cox Galveston, he was an
Assistant Criminal District Attorney for 10 years and tried almost 50 jury
trials before getting elected as the Judge. He also held assignments like Chief

the operator and then as the Customer Service Supervisor for the Lubrizol
Corporation in their two Texas plants. He has also worked as a musician in
Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera, etc.
While raising his family and carrying out a full-time job,
Cox received a Master
of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University and Doctorate of
Jurisprudence for the University of Houston Law School and possesses Bachelor
